2007 Vietnam trip - First night at Hanoi 4.4.07

I recently found these 2007 Hanoi trip photos when I was cleaning my files in my hard disk. The trip was 4.4.07 till 9.4.07. Had a great time there together with my close friends.

This was the hotel that we stayed throughout the trip - Church Hotel at Nha Tho street. It is a 2 stars hotel ideally located at the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The name of the hotel can be misleading as it can probably be misinterpreted as hotel for Christians. Nay, it is called the Church hotel because of its vicinity to St. Joseph's Cathedral.

There was this nice French styled cafe cum bakery beside the Church Hotel. The Cafe serves very good Vietnamese coffee and pastry.

Floral decoration (Lilies) at the counter of the Cafe

Wallpaper like this will surely add the Colonial mood to the cafe ambiance.

The temperature was great. It was chilly, at 15 degree Celsius. Although we were tired, we took a scroll down the streets and around the hotel.

Streets were quite at this part of the Old Quarter. After all, it was late at night. Ha ha!

St. Joseph's Cathedral - a Roman Catholic church in Hanoi.

Saint Joseph's Cathedral in Hanoi was built in 1886 in neo-Gothic style, and its architecture has some resemblance to Notre Dame of France.
